After visiting so many places in Kolkata, we wanted to relax and get some luxurious services. We browsed through the internet and found one resort to be most popular and favourite among many Indians.
It was Vedic Village Spa Resort. And, we instantly made our decision to spend the rest of our time in Kolkata at this wonderful resort. We booked our room online and hired a taxi to have the most amazing and satisfying time in Vedic village resort. The moment we entered the resort, few pretty ladies welcomed us with a garland. Their hospitality right from the beginning was touching our hearts.
The staff accompanied us to the room and even offered us complimentary drinks. We took an Earth Villa to feel the authenticity of Bengal. It was a cute little cottage, had wood work inside the rooms, the place was decorated so deeply that we were mesmerised. We already started to experience the earthy feel that was provided to the visitors of the hotel.
After spending some leisure time in our room, we moved ahead to the dining corner of the resort. When we took a stroll around the resort, we found several dining places. Some of them were Bhoomi, Agni, Yagna, and Chai. We were glad to find such classic names of the restaurants.
We had our lunch at Bhoomi and tasted many delicacies of Bengal. Well, the Bengali cuisine is lip smacking. Alu Bhaja, Moong Arhar dal, Rohu in mustard, mishit doi were some of my favourites. In the late afternoon we thought of playing games and enjoy the activities that the resort had to offer its guests. There was boating, archery, pool, cycling and biking, volley ball, and many indoor games. We chose to boat and enjoy a bullock cart ride. It was simply fun.
Then we had our special evening tea at the restaurant Chai- the tea lounge. It was refreshing indeed. Later we had small conversations with the staff members about the religious places of Kolkata as we planned our next two days visiting the ancient temples. The staffs were obliging and gave us information about Belur Math and Dakhineshwar Temple. We then went to our room to doze off as we fixed our next days for religious activities.
